Some of you are probably familiar with my various open source advocacies. I have pitched for Linux and Open Office here, and I try to encourage folks to find good software whether it’s open source or not (like Opera).

I have found an interesting resource which attempts to cross-reference open source applications with their more popular proprietary brethren. The site, called OSAlt, is all about helping you find an open source alternative.
